Bristol's Best Bar None Awards

Queenshilling, Bar Prague and Flamingos in conjunction with Invisible Security have all received the prestigious Best Bar None accreditation.

2006 saw the launch of Bristol's Best Bar None Awards, which is a scheme devised to reward licensed venues  who promote safety, crime prevention and well-being at their pub/bar/club.

This is a voluntary scheme which the venues apply to and undergo an inspection, by licensing and fire authority officers.  By demonstrating a high level of good management, crime prevention and staff training these venues have achieved accreditation.  This allows accredited venues to display a plaque at the entrance to the venue, as is a sign of good management and a safe venue.

Obviously we are pleased that 3 of the major venues in Bristol’s gay scene have achieved accreditation, which only and weight to Bristol’s gay scene being one of the safest places to go on a night out.
