Sexuality is no longer a barrier to succeeding in the workplace, a group of influential gay men and women have argued in a new report. MORE>>
Personalities from the world of politics, sport, films, business and the legal profession have contributed to young gay people be the Lesbian and Gay Forum.
The aim is to encourage young gay people to climb their career ladders and not believe they will be held back by their sexuality.
Conservative MP, Alan Duncan, said: “Gay people work and succeed in all the main political organisations – Central Office is full of them”
Actor Sir Ian McKellen said: “I am not aware of my sexuality ever being disadvantage at work.”
Beth Ditto, lead singer with American band The Gossip, said “Being different is good.” |
